Lead an Anglican Community in the Northwoods
We are asking the Lord to provide our next Parish Priest. Might you, or someone you know, be the
one?
St. Mary of the Snows Anglican Church, located in downtown Eagle River, Wisconsin,
(www.eagleriver.org) is a church in the Diocese of Quincy (www.dioceseofquincy.org), Anglican
Church of North America (www.anglicanchurch.net). Our current Rector is preparing to retire after
almost two decades of faithful service.
Known in the region as the “Small Church with a Big Welcome,” St. Mary of the Snows Anglican Church
is a vibrant, welcoming outreach facility to our neighborhood. In the building is Northwoods Share
(www.northwoodshare.org) which helps meet physical needs. The Rock Mission Center Fellowship Hall
is a gathering place for other community events each week.
Qualifications
1. Christlike character and emotional maturity.
2. A Master of Divinity degree is preferred, or comparable seminary training, with competence in
Biblical scholarship.
3. Ministry experience, including regular preaching duties.
4. An affiliation or eligibility to transfer to the Anglican Church of North America (ACNA).
Candidates must submit to episcopal oversight in the Diocese of Quincy.
Character Traits, Habits and Abilities
1. Deep love for God and his people, empowered by vibrant prayer, Bible study and spiritual
disciplines.
2. Firmly rooted in the Anglican tradition and intimately acquainted with the Book of Common
Prayer.
3. A breadth of relational, theological, contemporary and historical perspectives.
4. Collaborative leader who can, by God’s grace work with laity, vestry and clergy, nurturing their
spiritual gifts.
5. Must be a Green Bay Packers Fan – just kidding.
