We're Anglican and our practices are
Biblical and Traditional
Being Anglican means many of our practices and priorities come directly from the early church. We follow a liturgy with ancient roots that is Biblical in nature. We love our historic connections and the fact that we worship as the earliest Christians did. St. Mary of the Snows is a part of the Anglican Diocese of Quincy, which is a part of the Anglican Church in North America. Drawing from our Christian historical and Biblical roots and we seek to be the church that Christ intends us to be. We worship the Lord God together. We study the Holy Scriptures together. We pray together. Together, we minister to the needs of others. Together, we seek to be a source of light and life to the people around us. We desire to help others find eternal life, hope, forgiveness and purpose through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Join us as we worship God our Father in the Name of Christ Jesus our Lord and in the power of the Holy Spirit. We express our faith in and love for Jesus in ways Christians have since the time of the apostles. Core Values · We love the Lord our God with all our being · We love our neighbors just as we love ourselves · We treat others the way we want to be treated · We pray for our enemies What That Mean For Us: We love God by coming together to worship and to daily practice the disciplines of prayer and reading the Bible. As Anglicans, our worship of God is conducted according to the historic practice of the church and include ancient frameworks for prayer. We spend time in fellowship together. We celebrate with each other, support each other, pray for one other and serve each other as needs arise. God has blessed us, therefore we seek to let God really bless others though us. We also live openly Christian lives as we do the things we love together out in the community. All of us seek to be the vehicle for God to bless others in the places where we work and play. |
